Another destination in our golf portfolio is Lofoten. On its coastline, beyond the Arctic Circle, lies Lofoten Links, a course that takes the perception of golf to a completely different level.
For the 2025–2026 season, it has been ranked 66th among the best courses in the world and has also been awarded the title of the best golf course in Norway for 2025. These accolades alone suggest that this is not a typical golf destination, but a place with a truly unique character.

Playing golf beyond the Arctic Circle is not just about the game itself. Lofoten Links is one of the northernmost courses in the world, and its location on the wild coastline of the Norwegian Sea defines the entire playing experience. Rocky outcrops, sandy beaches, and the ocean naturally become part of the course.
During the main season, the sun never sets. The course is open 24 hours a day, allowing you to play at, for example, two in the morning in full daylight. Golf under the midnight sun brings a completely new rhythm to the game, free from time pressure and with an atmosphere you won’t experience anywhere else.
Towards the end of the season, another dimension of this place emerges. Thanks to minimal light pollution, you have the chance to witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles. If clear skies align with the right conditions, you can watch the Northern Lights directly from the course. This celestial show is never guaranteed, which makes the moment when colorful lights begin to dance above the quiet fairways all the more powerful.
The course itself features a classic links layout that makes maximum use of the natural terrain. Rugged rough with heather and seaweed, combined with ever-changing conditions, makes every round an authentic and unpredictable experience.
The course is open from May to October, but the ideal timing depends on the type of experience you are looking for.
Note: Tee times for playing around midnight are in the highest demand and are often sold out many months in advance. Be sure not to delay your reservation during this period.

The ideal accommodation right next to the course is Lofoten Links Lodges. These modern Nordic lodges offer privacy, comfort, and direct contact with the surrounding nature.
Thanks to their unique location and north-facing orientation toward the Norwegian Sea, the lodges offer breathtaking views: in summer months, you can enjoy the mesmerizing midnight sun directly from your terrace, and from late summer onwards, you may witness the enchanting Northern Lights.
In the morning, you can step out from your terrace straight onto the course. It is this proximity that makes a stay at Lofoten Links a truly comprehensive experience unlike any other in the world of golf.
