A journey around Lake Victoria in all its diversity. East Africa, which has provided unforgettable experiences, from adventures in the wilderness to moments of tranquility surrounded by nature.
In early February, we set off on an adventurous expedition with our clients. Our journey began in Kigali, Rwanda, where we arrived late at night. First thing in the morning, we continued on to Uganda, which welcomed us with one of the highlights of the entire trip: a trek to see mountain gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve. Encountering these rare creatures in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience.
Uganda also offered us other sights. At Lake Mburo, we set out on an afternoon safari, and in Jinja, we stopped at the source of the Nile, a place that has attracted travelers for centuries. From there, we continued to Kenya, to the city of Kisumu on the shores of Lake Victoria. The leisurely pace of the afternoon here and a visit to Ndere Island National Park revealed Africa in its quieter and lesser-known form.
The journey then continued to Tanzania. In the Musoma area, we had originally planned a fishing trip and cycling, but at the clients’ request, we adjusted the itinerary and went on a safari instead. It was a choice that brought us more unforgettable moments. This was followed by a drive to the Serengeti with its endless plains and a final game drive in the Ndutu area, where thousands of wildebeest calves are born during this season. A picture of nature in its purest form.
Over the course of twelve days, we explored the rainforest, lakes, and savannas together. The journey, which offered both true wilderness and moments of tranquility, reminded us that Africa is a place where nature sets the rhythm and humans remain its silent observers.
